Release v0.117.0
Sep 25, 2026
Hardware and RAID monitoring, a guided finish to the alert-to-monitor conversion, business reports you can actually generate, a native Gmail ticket connector, Cove backup visibility, and the final step of the billing-profile cutover.
Visibility & Monitoring
- Hardware and RAID monitoring: Breeze now reads RAID controller, array, physical disk, cache battery, and out-of-band management health across hardware RAID, Linux software RAID, ZFS, Windows Storage Spaces, and SMART disk data. A new device Hardware tab shows it all, and the device list gets a hardware column and filter. Needs the 0.117.0 agent.
- Four built-in hardware monitors (RAID health, disk health, cache battery, management controller). Attach them to a configuration policy under the new Hardware Monitoring section to start getting failure alerts. Collection is on by default; alerting is opt-in.
- Alerts → Monitors conversion is now fully guided: a Needs-conversion panel walks every legacy alert policy through a before/after preview, partner managers get a one-click Convert everything, and every conversion has an Undo.
- Metric anomaly detection now has a real on/off toggle at partner and org level, and device anomaly panels show grouped episodes instead of a stream of individual spikes. Still off by default.
- Custom fields can now be used in the fleet-wide device filter and added as a device-list column.
- Devices whose update is being held back now show why and since when, with an 'Updates withheld' badge in the fleet update view.
Ticketing, Billing & Reporting
- Native Gmail / Google Workspace email-to-ticket connector, alongside the existing Microsoft 365 one.
- Business Reports: SLA attainment, technician time & billability, and AR aging are now generatable from the Reports gallery as PDF or CSV, on demand or on a schedule. Partner managers can run them across all organizations at once.
- Past reports stay readable for suspended, churned, or archived customers, so you keep the history after an offboarding.
- The billing-profile cutover that began in v0.115.0 finishes: the old per-category labour rates are archived and removed. Invoices already sent stay exactly as issued.
- Organizations can override the partner's default payment terms, invoices and quotes fill blank letterhead details from your company profile, and quotes get an editable per-quote footer line.
- Issued invoices are now frozen as sent. Renaming, recategorizing, or moving a ticket later no longer changes an invoice the customer already has.
- Quote emails use the proposal title and customer name, and portal terms and conditions collapse into a tidy, printable section.
Backup & Recovery
- Cove backup integration: jobs from Cove now show up in backup health views next to Breeze's own backups, with daily health tracking and alerts that don't flap.
- Backup verification and test-restores on very large snapshots now finish and report real counts instead of timing out and reporting zero.
- SQL Server and Hyper-V restores start in the background and report their result in restore history, instead of making you wait up to 10 minutes on a request that could report failure while the restore was still running.
- Bare-metal recovery: the recovery ISO checks it's new enough before using your one-time recovery code, and live Linux restores no longer carry the source machine's agent services onto the target.
AI, Security & Platform
- Settings is now one searchable catalogue of every settings screen, and the sidebar is trimmed to the ones you use most.
- Tighter AI safety: AI tools no longer guess which customer to create something in when a tech has several orgs, AI Operator budgets are enforced, and interactive AI approvals get a configurable timeout (5 to 60 minutes).
- Partner API gets an opt-in, read-only alerts feed across every organization you manage.
- Mobile app: page through several pending approvals and defer one for later.
- SSO: passkey-based logins from identity providers like Pocket ID now count as MFA when you've chosen to trust the provider's MFA.
The biggest addition in this release is hardware and RAID monitoring. Breeze can now tell you a RAID array is degraded, a disk is failing SMART checks, or a controller cache battery is dying before a customer finds out the hard way. It covers the common hardware RAID controllers, Linux software RAID, ZFS, Windows Storage Spaces, and plain SMART disks. Everything shows up on a new Hardware tab on each device. Attach the four built-in hardware monitors to a configuration policy to get alerts. Devices need the 0.117.0 agent to report hardware data.
Several features that have been building across the last few releases are finished here. The move from legacy alert policies to monitors now has a guided conversion with a preview and an Undo. Business Reports has three new report types you can generate: SLA attainment, technician billability, and AR aging. Email-to-ticket now works with Gmail and Google Workspace as well as Microsoft 365. Cove backup jobs appear next to Breeze’s own backups, so you can see all your backup coverage in one place. Settings is also now a single searchable catalogue.
One breaking change for self-hosters: this release finishes the billing-profile cutover and removes the old per-category labour-rate fields from the database. If you’ve upgraded through v0.115.0 and v0.116.0 you don’t need to do anything. If you’re jumping from an older version, run the v0.115.0 conversion first, and take a database backup before you upgrade. Rolling back to v0.116 afterwards requires restoring that backup. The release also fixes a rare Windows agent crash on some newer Intel processors and includes a large batch of fixes from our pre-release testing. See the GitHub release notes for full upgrade detail.
